Maryland Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program Division of Educator Effectiveness Teacher Preparation and Program Approval Professional Standards & Teacher Education Board National Board Certification Educator Workforce Dashboard Nonpublic School Approval Maryland Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program Round 2 The Maryland Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program supports partnerships called collaboratives between local school systems, employee organizations, and Maryland institutions of higher education or approved alternative partnership models to develop sustainable, on-the-job teacher licensure pathways.
The program provides grants to local school systems to support school-based employees, including noncertified education support professionals and provisional teachers, who seek full teacher licensure while continuing to work in their schools.
Teacher candidates receive financial support during preparation and commit to a three-year service pledge as full-time teachers in a high-needs school, grade level, or content area within the same local school system in which they are currently employed. Proposals must be submitted by email no later than $19,400,000 is available to support awards under the Maryland Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program. Estimated Number of Grants MSDE anticipates making approximately twenty-four (24) grant awards under this program. Pre-Proposal Information Sessions MSDE will hold three pre-proposal information sessions for interested applicants.
During these sessions, MSDE personnel will provide an overview of the application process. 9:00 a. m.
