NEW Funding Opportunity Now Open: Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent Initiative NEW Funding Opportunity Now Open: Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent Initiative We are excited to announce the launch of the Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent (MAP-IT) Initiative, a new statewide grant initiative funded through the Workforce Investment Trust Fund.
This funding opportunity is designed to help internationally trained professionals (ITPs) who are authorized to work in the United States secure employment aligned with their prior education and professional experience.
Funded programs will deliver coordinated career navigation, credentialing support, employer engagement, and partnership-driven services for ITPs across Massachusetts, with an emphasis on geographic diversity and responsiveness to regional labor market needs.
This initiative represents a new investment by the Healey-Driscoll Administration to address persistent staffing shortages while enhancing employers’ and workforce systems’ ability to recognize, value, and leverage international talent in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M2I2), administered by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's Center for Advanced Manufacturing, provides state grant funding to help Massachusetts innovators move hardtech products (Technology Readiness Levels 4-6) into pilot-scale manufacturing. Eligible sectors explicitly include robotics, electronics, bioindustrial manufacturing, and additive manufacturing, supporting AI-enabled and automated production.
