de Our Master Plus funding programme is aimed at students of all disciplines who are beginning a Master’s degree programme (full-time, on-site, non-dual) at a public university or university of applied sciences in Germany. With the financial support we ensure that our scholars can dedicate themselves entirely to their studies. At the same time, we accompany their personal development with our complementary support programme.
Applications for Master Plus can be submitted for summer and winter semesters. The scholarship is open to international candidates who are going to study at any German university. Application periods and deadlines will be announced here in due course.
The duration of the Master Plus scholarship programme covers the standard period of study and ends upon completion of a master's qualification. The Master Plus scholarship does not include study fees. As alumnus or alumna, our Master Plus scholars can participate in selected Claussen-Simon Foundation events and benefit from the alumni network even after their scholarship has ended.
May 18 to June 14, 2026 (for the winter semester 2026/27) Duration: up to 4 semesters („Regelstudienzeit“) Financial aid: not dependent on BAföG eligibility and regardless of parents' income; scholarship amounts range from 300 EURO/month to a maximum of 992 EURO/month (depending on personal cost of living) Grants for active participation in national and international conferences Grants for stays abroad, if the stay is closely related to the topic of research (i.
e. semester abroad, research, visits of archives) Non-financial support: workshops, regional group meetings, and networking events with active and former scholars of the Claussen-Simon Foundation Within the foundation community, I feel understood, accepted, supported, included, and valued.
