Meck Lending | Mecklenburg County Loan Program for Small Business Easy capital so your business can flourish Are you an entrepreneur looking to grow your business? Does your business need a facelift, curb appeal or new equipment? Meck Lending is Mecklenburg County’s revolving loan program offering microloans up to $75,000 and free advising to help small businesses grow.

To apply, please complete the following steps: 01/ Complete Request for Counseling To ensure that entrepreneurs receive the best possible financing for their business needs, we require interested applicants to complete a request for counseling with a member of our Business Solutions team to discuss options and review your eligibility. To request business solutions counseling, please complete our request for counseling form below.
Please note that the business solutions request is NOT the loan application. 02/ Gather Your Information and Apply Once you have completed your business consultation, you will need to gather and submit any required documentation. Documentation needs may vary based on your loan; required documents may include but are not limited to: personal and federal tax returns, financial statements, business plans, and resumes of key management.
Your Business Solutions Officer will work with you throughout the application process. If you have questions about your documentation or our financing process, please contact your Business Solutions Officer.
03/ Review Additional Business Resources While our Business Solutions team works with you on your loan application, we encourage you to check out our additional program offerings that help support entrepreneurs from all walks of life. Qualification Requirements Small businesses may qualify for the program if they meet the following conditions: Business premises are physically located in Mecklenburg County.
Business has 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees. Have annual sales less than $1M Business has been in business for a minimum of 1 year. I f you think you may qualify for this program, please review the documentation requirements on the right side of the page.
Submission of incomplete documents could delay the processing of your request.
Each individual with 20% or more ownership will be asked to provide: 2-3 Years of Personal Tax Returns Personal Financial Statement Copy of Driver’s License (front and back) Applicants will be asked to provide the following business documents: 2-3 Years of Business Tax Returns Year-to-date Profit & Loss Statement Year-to-date Balance Sheet Current Business Bank Statement Lease Agreement/Mortgage Statement 1 Year of Cash Flow Projections Worksheet Contact us at 704-534-3442 or via email with any questions you may have.
