TDEC Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program Sponsoring Organization – Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Application Deadline – August 21, 2026 Summary – The Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program offers funding to help public, nonprofit, and private fleets in Tennessee cut nitrogen oxide emissions by replacing or upgrading older medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
Eligible projects might include switching vehicles to alternative fuels such as propane, natural gas, hybrid, or all-electric, or repowering them with alternative-fuel or all-electric engines or drivetrains. Eligible vehicle types include Class 4–7 local freight trucks, Class 8 local freight and port drayage trucks, and Class 4–8 transit, shuttle, and school buses. Funding Available – $4.
