1% sales and use tax Lafayette voters approved in 2021. 2027 Grant Cycle Application The application is open until Wednesday, August 12 at 4:00 pm.
In addition to providing agency and specific program details, all applicants will be asked to upload the following documents: Most Recent Financial Audit Nonprofit Determination Letter from the IRS Board of Director Summary (Name, Occupation, Tenure) Certificate of Good Standing from the Colorado Secretary of State Yearend Financial Documents Apply for a grant between June 29 and August 12.
The Mental Health and Human Services Grant Program Advisory Committee will review applications and make funding recommendations to City Council in November. Staff will begin coordinating contracts for approved funding proposals in December. Funds will be available beginning in January of 2027 once grant agreements are executed.
Grants are for registered 501(c) nonprofit organizations that assist Lafayette residents with food, rent, utility, childcare, medical care, mental health care and resources, or domestic violence support. The nonprofit does not need to be physically located in Lafayette, but the organization must serve Lafayette residents to be eligible for funding.
Additional eligibility information is outlined in the 2027 grant cycle evaluation criteria . All agencies must be legally incorporated entities in good standing. Following a competitive application process, the City is proud to provide $700,000 in grant funding to the following organizations in 2026.
