Massachusetts Gateway Cities Program MFF is currently supporting groups in Holyoke and New Bedford and will be selecting a third city in 2026. Please check back for future RFP’s in December 2026. Focus on Priority Communities MFF prioritizes communities disproportionately affected by systemic racism, climate disruption, and barriers to democratic participation. In Massachusetts , we’re investing in work within Gateway Cities, supported by a statewide approach to policy and systems change.
In New York , we are deepening support for coalitions working to protect frontline communities from the devastation of a warming climate and a fossil fuel based economy and to reinvest in a cleaner, greener future.
Holyoke & New Bedford organizations focused on: •Coalition-building and collaboration •Civic engagement on climate, health equity, transportation, and housing Massachusetts Gateway Cities: Holyoke & New Bedford Policy, advocacy, and organizing efforts that align with and amplify local work—starting in: •Energy & Environmental Health Massachusetts: Statewide Systems Change High-impact coalitions fighting to: •Protect frontline communities from climate threats •Reduce reliance on fossil fuels •Preserve environmental health and justice New York: Effective Climate Coalitions
