Apply For a Grant - Metavivor The 2026 grant cycle is now open! Submit an MBC research grant application METAvivor funds research that specifically addresses the mechanistic understanding, diagnosis, and/or treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Proposals that study concrete measures to treat side effects of treatments or improve quality of life of people living with MBC will be considered.
All individuals with a clinical doctoral degree or with a doctoral degree who are actively engaged in an area of metastatic breast cancer research and treatment are eligible to apply. METAvivor Translational Research Award METAvivor is offering awards of up to $450,000 (total) over three years to established investigators in the field of metastatic breast cancer research.
This award funds discovery and early phase basic, translational, and clinical research designed to address critical problems or barriers to progress in the field of MBC.
METAvivor Early Career Investigator Award METAvivor is offering awards of up to $200,000 (total) over two years to early career investigators, defined as investigators within 10 years of their professional degree award date and within 6 years of starting their first non-tenured faculty position if they have started one (see eligibility).
This amount includes direct costs, including up to $3,000 over two years for travel; and indirect costs of up to 5% of the total award. We anticipate that approximately 30% of early career applicants that submit the required Letter of Intent (LOI) will be invited to submit a full application following the LOI review process. Only invited applications will be considered for funding.
METAvivor Research Advisor’s Award This grant will be awarded to a member of METAvivor’s Scientific Advisory Board based on the same competitive process as described on our Grant Process page . The requirements include discovery and early phase basic, translational, and clinical research designed to address critical problems or barriers to progress in the field of MBC.
