Metta Fund has an invitation-only application process and makes grants in two core areas: caregiving and social connectedness.

Flexible Funding to Build Capacity We provide flexible funding so organizations can build their capacity to meet the needs of older adults of color. We invest in community-driven strategies and focus on organizations led by and serving people of color to build thriving, multigenerational communities. We partner with nonprofits working to improve the health and well-being of elders across San Francisco.

Building Organizational Power Framework Improving Organizational Capacity and Older Adult Health We approach grantmaking with a racial equity lens and believe that nonprofits that receive flexible funds – to strengthen their organizations overall – can enhance their capacity to serve older adults of color.
