Institution’s indirect costs covered by CGH. MGB clinicians with clinical research collaborations or clinicians from LMICs with MGB partnerships.
Support for clinical care, teaching, research, and innovation work of the most promising global health physicians and healthcare providers. MGH CGH Research Development Award $75,000 for direct costs for up to two years. MGH and BWH indirect costs covered by CGH.
Post-doctoral fellows, instructors, and assistant professors at MGH and BWH. Support for investigators who are beginning careers in global health research. Research must be grounded in a robust, in-country partnership and contribute to the local research agenda.
For MGB Clinical Educators MGH CGH Medical Education and Innovation Development Award $20,000 for direct costs for one year. MGH and BWH indirect costs covered by CGH. MGH and BWH healthcare providers who are engaged in education, mentorship, or innovation in global health.
Support for early to mid-career healthcare practitioners who are involved in global education healthcare delivery and innovation. The project must be grounded in a robust, local partnership that advances clinical or educational capacity building priorities of the local community. Global Nursing Fellowship Program In-country placement, logistical support, airfare, and accommodations.
$2,000/week stipend paid to department. Nurses at least 3 years post licensure and who have been employed in current service for at least 2 years. Short-term fellowships to provide didactic instruction and clinical mentorship based on requests for specific clinical expertise from our partners.
For External Collaborators Scholarships for Clinical Education and Training in LMICs Doctors, nurses, and allied health personnel from LMICs with an MGH or BWH partner organization. Educational support for a global collaborator in pursuit of education, specialized training, advanced degree, and/or skill building courses in home country.
Global Health Fellowships Global Non-Communicable Diseases Research Training Program [T32] Funding for up to two years. Covers salary, travel to professional meetings, tuition, and other related expenses. Early-stage investigators in the fields of Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, and Hematology.
Support to help launch the research careers of early-stage investigators. This program provides a dedicated career development mentor and a research mentor for each trainee, didactic seminars, research training, and a community of practice within the program. Durant Fellowship Up to $75,000 for direct costs. All MGH and BWH physicians, APPs, and nurses. Support for MGH and BWH clinicians working closely with a partner organization providing humanitarian assistance.
MGB Global Health Community Engagement Awards All staff, faculty, and partnering collaborators of MGH and BWH. Support for global health projects or research via conference fees, manuscript expenses, humanitarian opportunities or other travel related expenses. Priority is given to those with unfunded research projects.
MGB Global Health Service Awards All MGH and BWH faculty and staff, and global partners. Three awards for those who show Excellence in Clinical Education & Mentorship, in Global Disaster Response & Humanitarian Action, and in Research & Innovation. the MGH Global Health Expo MGB Global Health Finish Line Grants Pre-tenure junior investigators/trainees from LMICs, who are working on a project that is near completion.
Support serves as a catalyst for the completion of these projects and support mentorship between MGB Global Health faculty and junior investigators/trainees.
