It aims to generate knowledge, tools, and strategies that link animal, human, and environmental health, while reducing antimicrobial use and environmental impact. Projects should investigate livestock microbiomes and their interactions with animals, humans, and the environment.

Activities include developing integrated monitoring systems, assessing microbiome-based solutions across soil, plant, and animal systems, and designing holistic health models. Proposals should develop intervention strategies to prevent disease transmission and reduce antimicrobial resistance, while improving animal welfare and productivity.

Projects should also contribute to collaborative platforms for microbiome research and strengthen cross-disciplinary cooperation across relevant scientific and sectoral fields.

(described in General Annex A, General Annex B, General Annex C) Minimum 3 independent partners from 3 eligible countries Specific consortium we are looking for: Consortia should include microbiologists, veterinarians, geneticists, animal and plant biologists, epidemiologists, ecologists, and data scientists.

Participation of livestock farmers, breeders, service providers, and industry stakeholders is expected to ensure real-world validation and implementation. Collaboration with experts in One Health, antimicrobial resistance, and zoonotic disease is essential, along with integration with existing EU-funded initiatives and partnerships.

Eligible costs will take the form of a lump sum contribution under the Horizon Europe Lump Sum Model Grant Agreement.
