Microenterprise Grants | State of Alaska | Department of Health Would you like to own your own business? Grants are available for people with disabilities and their families who qualify. These funds may be used to pay for the costs of starting a new business, making a current business larger, or buying an existing business.
People who qualify for a grant can request anywhere from $500 to $10,000, with a lifetime limit of $10,000. You must qualify as a Alaska Mental Health Trust Beneficiary. Your business must meet the definition of a "microenterprise."
A microenterprise is a business that needs no more than $35,000 total to operate ("total capital needs"), and which has four employees or less.
