Microgrant Program

Microgrant Program is a grant from Public Good Crypto that funds hackers and artists tackling innovative ideas in the crypto and Web3 space. Awards of up to ,000 are paid in cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, or SOL), making this an accessible source of early-stage capital for individuals and teams experimenting with new concepts at the intersection of technology and public benefit.

The program is open to individuals and teams working on early-stage cryptography research and creative projects, with no organizational affiliation required. Grants are evaluated on a quarterly basis.

In the process, I came across a bunch of other microgrant programs, which are documented below. All amounts are listed in USD unless otherwise specified. If you're interested in starting your own microgrant program, I've also created a few templates , which you're welcome to use.

org/grants/ Grants of up to €1000 for young people based in Ireland who are working on early-stage projects and products. Grantees are paired with a mentor who has experience in their focus area and can offer support in setting and achieving ambitious goals. https://thepollinationproject.

org/ The Pollination Project awards seed grants daily to social change leaders seeking to benefit the world (both individuals, and community groups that do not have paid staff). Up to $1,000 per initial grant. Successful grantees become eligible for additional grants up to $5,000.

The Prototype Fund is a collaboration between the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. You can get up to 47. 500€ for your open source project.

Thiel Fellows skip or stop out of college to receive a $100,000 grant and support from the Thiel Foundation’s network of founders, investors, and scientists. https://trelis. com/trelis-ai-grants/ $500 grants for individuals pursuing advances in the field of AI models, such as training, inferencing, and fine-tuning.

Get $4,000 for your open source quantum computing project. https://vitadao. com/fellowship Apply for $100-$3,000 fast microgrants to pursue your effort in longevity.

You can meet other fellows on a bi-monthly call to support each other, as well as get awareness through the broader community, and apply for up to $1m in translational research funding. Xor Grant is a no-strings-attached microgrant awarded to high school seniors pursuing a computer science or cybersecurity program in college.

Its mission is to support students who are passionate about solving interesting problems and love thinking outside the box.
