Midtown Home Renovation Program

Midtown Home Renovation Program is sponsored by Midtown Atlantic City Community Development Corporation (in partnership with Atlantic County Improvement Authority). Offers grants to qualifying homeowners in Midtown Atlantic City for home repairs. This can be combined with the ACIA's Home Repair Loan for up to $50,000 in total assistance.

Current Programs - Midtown Atlantic City CDC ────── Current Programs ────── The Midtown Atlantic City Community Development Corporation (Midtown CDC) is a community-based effort to enhance the Midtown neighborhood of Atlantic City. Our team of residents, businesses, community leaders, and local agencies are working hard to ensure that this neighborhood realizes its full potential.

Community Clean Up & Clean Team Made available to existing homeowners in Midtown, this program offered in partner with the Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA) offers up to $25,000 to qualifying homeowners for home repairs. The Midtown Home Repair Grant can be added to the ACIA’s Home Repair Loan, which enables homeowners to access up to $50,000 for qualifying home improvements.

Do you rent or own your home ? How long have you owned your home? Are you up to date with your mortgage payments?

Are you up to date with your homeowner’s insurance payments? Are you up to date on all property tax payments? Are you requesting repairs due to an active leak or other conditions that could be considered an emergency?

Have you received any citations regarding the condition of your property from the City of Atlantic City or another governmental agency? Please note that by completing this form, you will be advanced to the second round of the home renovation grant process. This includes a more detailed application that will be provided by the Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA), the administrator of our grant offering. Due to funding constraints, there may be a waiting list for grant offerings.

Individuals are also encouraged to look into the ACIA home repair loan as well as Home Repair programming offered by the City of Atlantic City. Midtown’s Down Payment Assistance Program may provide up to 10% in down-payment assistance to buyers.

This is made available to help promote primary home ownership and neighborhood stabilization in the Midtown neighborhood. These programs are funded fully by the Midtown CDC.

Midtown CDC program provides: A grant for 10% of the purchase price Maximum grant amount not to exceed $20,000 Forgivable loan 20% per year for 5 years Household income may not surpass 150% of area median income Interested buyers are required to participate in home buying classes prior to purchase Single family properties including townhouses and condos located within Midtown CDC Sales price of the property cannot exceed $481,000 Property must be primary residence and maintained as same.

Midtown offers limited Down Payment Assistance to individuals looking to purchase homes in Midtown. This is made available to help promote home ownership and neighborhood stabilization. This program is fully funded by the Midtown CDC and offered in partnership with the Atlantic County Improvement Authority.

Community Clean Up & Clean Team Midtown’s Clean Team program is an anti-litter, community-empowering program in partnership with the City of Atlantic City, our neighbors, and business owners. The Midtown CDC will provide support and resources to people who want to lead the charge against heavy litter, illegal dumping, and debris in the public spaces in their neighborhood.

Beautify your block in the Midtown neighborhood and help to create a cleaner and safer community! Street by street, neighbors, business owners, and volunteers will come together for community cleanups and events. To learn more, email [email protected] .
