Student Activities Trust Fund Honor exceptional educators and leaders through the George Polya, Edward Begle, Walter Denham, and Presidential Awards. Support professional growth with opportunities such as the Gretchen Muller Coaching Grant, Lurie Center Grant, and Mike Contino Memorial Grant, which help cover conference registration, travel, and resources.
Celebrate outstanding student achievement with the High School Student Recognition Award. Student Activities Trust Fund Provide financial support for math events and activities such as Math Field Days, Problem-Solving Contests, and Math Olympiads. Each CMC section (North, Central, South) offers additional local grants and awards for members.
High School Student Recognition Award Recognizes high school students who demonstrate creativity, interest, achievement, or excellence in mathematics. Eligibility: Any student; not limited to seniors. Deadline: Rolling; schools may award at any time.
Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) The nation’s highest commendation for K–12 math and science teachers, including a $10,000 NSF grant and a trip to Washington, D. C. Eligibility: K–12 math and science teachers (secondary apply in odd years, elementary in even years); nomination required.
Deadline: The PAEMST program has been paused ; please check back. George Polya Memorial Award Honors K–12 math teachers for sustained excellence and active participation in CMC. Eligibility: K–12 teachers involved in CMC or affiliates.

Edward Begle Memorial Award Recognizes educators—professors, administrators, supervisors—who have demonstrated long-term leadership and support of CMC and mathematics education. Eligibility: Open to individuals involved in advancing math education.
Deadline: Nominations due by September 1 each year. Walter Denham Memorial Award Celebrates individuals who have championed mathematics education through leadership and advocacy at state or national levels. Eligibility: Open; recipient does not need to be a CMC member or educator.
