Mini Grants | Empower Communities Today - Apply Now — SPEAR Foundation FY27 Mini-Grant Program Award Announcement The Sigma Public Education and Research (SPEAR) Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the FY27 Mini-Grant Program.
This year’s grant cycle marked an important evolution for the program, expanding support beyond Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. chapters and affiliates to include community-based organizations whose work aligns with SPEAR’s mission and Five Priorities: Community Service, Public Education, Advocacy, Social Science, and Applied Research.
Approximately $15,000 has been awarded to selected grantees whose proposals demonstrated strong alignment with SPEAR’s mission, community need, program feasibility, partnership, sustainability, and potential for measurable impact. The Sigma Public Education and Research (SPEAR) Foundation is proud to announce its Mini-Grant Program for the 2026-2027 FY (FY27) , awarding one-time grants between $500 - $1,500. The purpose of these grants is to support local activities and initiatives that align with SPEAR’s mission to promote social, civic, cultural, economic, and educational progress for vulnerable or at-risk families and communities.
The Following entities are eligible to apply: Alumnae chapters/undergraduate chapters/affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) The Foundation will award grants to qualifying entities that meet program requirements and adhere to the outlined timeline.
