Mini Grants through the United Way of El Dorado are flexible funding opportunties that are open to organizations in El Dorado, KS. These grants are here to support meaningful projects that are designed to strengthen United Way of El Dorado's mission of building a more resilient, healthy, and financially secure community.
Any organization — non-profit, civic group, school-affliated program, neighborhood initiative, community-driven effort, etc. — may submit a Mini Grant Application for consideration. Mini Grant requests follow a structured review process: Application Submission — The organization asking for funds provide the information requested on the grant application page.
This includes Your organization's mission and how it aligns with the United Way of El Dorado mission a brief description of the project that will be funded by the Mini Grant and how it will directly benefit the community members The dollar amount of funds you are requesting (including the budget for what the funds will pay for.)
Board Review & Vote — All funding applications are reviewed by the United Way of El Dorado Board of Directors. (The Board meets once per month, so submitting the application early is essential for timely consideration.) Funding Priorization — Projects are evaluated based on alignment with UWE's core pillars.
These pillars are: ·Mini Grant funds are often awarded in the $500 range, but requests can be made for a higher amount. There is not set minimum, but the maximum amount for a Mini Grant is $1,000. Applications of all sizes are always welcome.
The Board of Directors evaluates each request based on community impact, alignement with UWE's mission, and available funding. ·Application for funding through our Mini Grant program does not automatically result in funds being awarded. After careful Board review some grants may be declined or only partially awarded.
