A primary objective for all American minority business development agencies is to identify emerging businesses and cultivate growth during their early stages.

Our professional MBAC staff is ready to work with all minority business owners, certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), certified Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity (EDGE), and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses. The four-week cohort is designed for entrepreneurs looking to elevate their businesses through access to capital. Each week, our hands-on workshop guides business owners through various loan programs. It provides the financial knowledge needed to organize and maintain key documents, preparing them to secure funding successfully.
Learn about all the unexpected expenses that come with being your own boss at “The Hidden Cost of Entrepreneurship” event! The Minority Business Assistance Center at the Youngstown Business Incubator serves the needs of small businesses that are owned by people of color, women, or veterans in Ashtabula, Belmont, Columbiana, Mahoning, Monroe, Jefferson, and Trumbull counties.
As a Tier II MBAC, the center offers a 3-Phase Business Accelerator Program for existing business owners needing certification, access to business financing from federal government grant programs, loans from other financial institutions, or help locating other financial assistance. MBA Certification is a four-week program for minority entrepreneurs who have owned and operated their businesses for a minimum of one year.
Each week will offer a hands-on workshop, walking the business owner through a crucial step of the certification process until the owner is ready to submit their certification application to the state on the final week of the program. MBAC Capital is a four-week program designed to walk state-certified small business owners through securing funding options and the loan application process.
Whether a business owner is interested in applying for local or state small business loan programs, training and mentorship sessions are taught to equip the business owner to obtain greater access to capital. MBAC Contracts is a four-week program dedicated to state-certified business owners ready to bid on contracts.
Its primary focus is connecting business owners to procurement officers of local government agencies and federal agencies, lenders, and potential investors through national, state, and local-level contracts. Need resources? We have you covered.
Our MBAC program provides MBE and EDGE entrepreneurs with management, technical, financial, and contract procurement assistance (in addition to load and bond packaging services).
