Netherlands Film Fund & Flanders Audiovisual Fund: Minority co-productions Netherlands Film Fund & Flanders Audiovisual Fund: Minority co-productions Nederlands Filmfonds & Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF): Realisering minoritaire coproducties Funding for feature films and documentaries that are made as co-productions with Flanders The Netherlands Film Fund is the national cultural fund for the professional, independent film sector in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.

It provides financial support for the development, production and distribution of film productions and film-related activities. f film productions and film-related activities. This scheme is aimed at enhancing ties between the filmindustries and producers of Flanders and The Netherlands.

Apart from looking at the quality of the script, the artistic value and the originality and urgency of the project, there will also be looked at the creative and technical spending in the Netherlands as well as for a real prospect of future cooperation between the two producers.

A maximum of €200,000 for feature films; A maximum of €50,000 for documentaries. The film production must have received realisation support from the VAF; The total contribution of Dutch funds and market participants in the realisation of the film production must come to at least 10% of total production costs.

The national cinema release must be guaranteed in the country of the majority co-producer by a film distributor or market participants in the local exploitation chain; The film production must have a release in the Netherlands.

The applicant must submit a written declaration signed by a Dutch film distributor; Any financial contributions under Eurimages schemes and/or other European financing must be attributed to the applicant pro rata; The financing of the film production must be shown to be fully and unconditionally promised by third parties within 15 months of the decision to award a grant.

When also applying for the Production Incentive, the applicant must use the budget model of the Netherlands Film Production Incentive for the Dutch spending of the selective application; The applicant will share pro rata in the worldwide proceeds of the film production: 100% (for feature films) or 60% (for documentaries) of the Film Fund contribution granted must be spent in the Netherlands (cast, crew, etc).
