Mission Grants

Mission Grants is sponsored by Church of the Redeemer. Church of the Redeemer Mission Grants are one-time financial gifts to individuals or organizations seeking support in a Gospel-shaped endeavor.

Mission Grants - Church of the Redeemer A Church of the Redeemer Mission Grant is a one-time financial gift made by our church to an individual or organization looking for our support in a Gospel-shaped endeavor. We love to participate in the mission of those who are participating in the mission of God, and each year we set aside resources for just that purpose.

When considering requests for Mission Grants, our Mission and Outreach Committee considers three primary factors: Alignment of Christian Vision The Committee has historically favored Christian organizations or individuals who share our articulation of the Gospel and see their work in the world as an overflow of that.

Connection to Church of the Redeemer The Committee has historically favored requests from organizations or individuals that are relationally connected to Church of the Redeemer through a parishioner. Opportunities for Parishioner Engagement The Committee has historically favored requests from organizations or individuals whose mission offers our congregation, or individual parishioners, an opportunity to get involved in a hands-on way.

Examples of Eligible Recipients: Individuals seeking to serve their neighborhoods or create new avenues for connection outside the walls of the church. Christian nonprofit organizations with which parishioners have a connection, either through employment, volunteer work, or another avenue. Parachurch ministries with which Redeemer has a relational connection.

Upon completion of the Mission Grant Application, the applicant will be invited to join the Mission and Outreach Committee at one of their upcoming meetings at which the applicant will have the opportunity to briefly share their proposal in person and answer questions from the Committee. A few questions to consider before meeting with the Committee: How would this grant help show forth the Gospel to our community?

Is there a specific program, initiative, or goal that this grant would help support? Are there ways that parishioners can engage with this work and serve in person? Are there any structures of accountability or objective means of evaluation that might help build confidence in our allocation of resources to this endeavor?

Applicants are notified of the Committee’s decision via email within one week of meeting. Although grants are awarded on a one-time basis, applicants are encouraged to apply for further funding in subsequent years. Click below to download the Mission Grant Application Form.
