Tourism Grant Information - Visit Moberly, Missouri The Moberly Tourism Grant programs are under an advisory board that meets monthly. The funds for these grants come from the hotel tax. All grants must have a 50/50 match and are funded up to $1,500.
IE: If you apply for $1,500, your investment must also be $1,500, total investment of $1,500. The grant categories are: 3. Capital Improvements & Aesthetic Improvements This board meets every 2nd Tuesday of the January, April, July, & October at 9am at City Hall (101 W Reed St Moberly, MO 65270) Meetings are open to Missouri Public Meeting laws and open to the public.

A tourist is defined by the Missouri Division of Tourism as someone traveling more than 50-miles away. Targeted Marketing funds will be used for the promotion and marketing of specific programs for tourism & tourism-related activities. This grant has a maximum of a $1,000 award matching grant.
A 50% match of fund must be made. Eligible examples of use are: Capital Improvements & Aesthetic Improvements fund will be used for the capital improvements/city facilities that encourage & enhance tourism. This grant has a maximum of $1,000 award that is recommended funded at 50%, but may be funded at 100%.
Past examples of use are: creation of a new tourism product All applicants must meet with the Tourism Specialist housed at the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce office three-six months prior to their event for proper planning & assistance.
