Eligibility: The application must have been reviewed by an NIH study section and presented to an institute council within 12 months of applying for the CF Foundation support and must have been submitted to NIH as an R01 and have an impact score of 45 or lower (1-45). National Academy of Sciences – Richard Lounsbery Award Nominations Due : October 5, 2026 Purpose : Provided jointly with the French Académie des Sciences to recognize young French and American scientists who have made extraordinary scientific achievement in biology and medicine.

Waksman Award Nominations Due : October 5, 2026 Purpose : To recognize a major advance in the field of microbiology. Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation – Dreyfus Prize in the Chemical Sciences Nominations Due : December 3, 2026 Purpose : Awarded to an individual in a selected area of chemistry to recognize exceptional and original research that has advanced the field in a major way. 2027 Area of Interest: Chemical Probes of Biological Systems. Any person may nominate a candidate for the Dreyfus Prize.
