Moody Foundation Grants is sponsored by The Moody Foundation. The Moody Foundation invests in charitable projects across Texas that align with its strategic priorities, including social services and family well-being. They support initiatives that exhibit innovative ideas and make long-term improvements in communities.

Past grants have supported organizations working with justice-impacted youth.

Our team will analyze inquiries to identify those that will align with the Moody Foundation’s current priorities and goals in Texas: education, social services and family well-being, health and wellness, and the arts. Please review our grants database for examples of organizations and projects recently funded by the Moody Foundation. The Moody Foundation accepts proposals on a rolling basis.

The Moody Foundation welcomes inquiries throughout the year. Eligible organizations may submit an inquiry via the Moody Foundation Grant Inquiry Form . After a brief eligibility quiz, applicants will outline their organization and proposed project on the form with a brief description, estimated total budget, and amount requested of the Moody Foundation.

Only one inquiry per organization will be considered at any given time. If your organization would like to submit more than one project for review, please note your organization’s priority project or program. If an inquiry and project is to receive further consideration, you will be sent a full grant application by a member of our grants team.

Once an application is finalized and submitted, we conduct a detailed compliance review. Eligible applications are presented to the Foundation’s trustees for consideration at one of four regular meetings held each year. The exact timetable for an application’s progress is dependent on several factors and the process does not begin until receipt of all application materials.

It is common for the grant application process from inquiry to funding decision to take up to six months, so please consider this timeframe in determining what projects you propose. Organizations are only allowed one active grant at a time unless an exception has been discussed with Moody Foundation staff.

New grant inquiries and requests (by existing grantees) will not be accepted until a final report from an organization’s previous project has been submitted, unless otherwise discussed with Foundation staff. All inquiries are submitted via our online Grants Portal.
