Move United is thrilled to announce grant funding for member organizations serving low-income youth and young adults with disabilities. Whether you’re launching winter skiing adventures or summer water sports, this grant supports initiatives that create lasting connections and skills. These grants will fuel programs that use innovative adaptive sports projects to build confidence and leadership skills in young adults.
Move United invites Member Organizations to apply for grants for low income youth and young adult programs. Eligible organizations can apply for grants ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 for program serving low-income youth and young adults with disabilities, ages 16-29. Programs should engage participants throughout the grant period (ongoing activities).
Both new applicants and returning grant recipients are welcome. Eligible States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming Program Details and Timeline Apply today and help us build a more inclusive sporting community where every athlete can thrive.
Grant Period: May 15, 2025 – February 15, 2026 Report Due: Within 14 days of program completion, no later than February 28, 2026 Program Focus : Direct expenses for adaptive sports programming that wouldn’t be possible without grant support. Adaptive sport leadership programs for young adults.
Measuring Success Together : Grant recipients will help participants complete a brief impact survey (available in English and Spanish, electronically or in print) to measure: Continued engagement in community-based adaptive sports Increased confidence and independence Improved social connections Enhanced success at school or work If you received funding previously: Share how renewal support will expand capacity and create additional opportunities.
