Movember Sport Health Research Initiative Canada 2025 | Research Alerts Movember Sport Health Research Initiative Canada 2025 Movember Canada, a branch of the global Movember Foundation Movember Sport Health Research Initiative Canada This program funds innovative research that uses sport as a setting or tool to promote mental health among young men in Canada.
Grants of up to CAD $180,000 are available for projects starting in early 2026, with a duration of up to 24 months. Address gaps in early intervention and prevention for young men's mental health. Use community or individualized sports (e.g., team sports, rock climbing, gym) to create impact.
Applicants must target one of the following: Design of sports programs (sport as the intervention) Policies for sports programs Interventions delivered in sports settings Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Psychological safety for athletes, parents and coaches Technology and digital engagement Must be a Postdoctoral Fellow or Early Career Researcher (within 7 years of PhD, excluding career interruptions).
Must be affiliated with a Canadian institution. Requires a qualified supervisor or mentor. Institution must be open to providing Monetary or in-kind contribution to the project (i.e., teaching release time).
