Funding Details: Multifamily Housing Loan Guarantees - Rural Health Information Hub Multifamily Housing Loan Guarantees U.S. Department of Agriculture, USDA Rural Housing Service Applications accepted on an ongoing basis Choose the appropriate Regional Director from the USDA Rural Development Multifamily Housing Loan Guarantees provide loan guarantees for qualified private-sector lenders to provide financing to qualified borrowers with the intent of increasing the supply of affordable rental housing for low to moderate income individuals and families in eligible rural areas and Loans may be used for construction, improvement, and purchase of multifamily rental housing for low to moderate income families and individuals, as well as for buying and improving land, and providing the necessary infrastructure for multifamily housing.
Private lenders may apply.
Lenders are automatically eligible if approved and active in one of the following Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae Federal Home Loan Bank members State or local housing finance agencies Eligible borrowers include: Most state and local governmental entities For-profit organizations, including LLCs Federally recognized tribes Eligible areas include rural areas and towns with 35,000 or fewer people and federally recognized tribal lands.
