AGRICULTURE, DEPARTMENT OF Provides grants to qualified nonprofits (NP) and public housing authorities (PHA) which will in turn provide technical assistance to RHS MFH borrowers and applicants to facilitate the acquisition of Section 515 properties by NPs and PHAs.
**Fiscal Year 2025:** Funding is used by nonprofit organizations and public housing authorities (PHAs) to provide technical assistance (TA) and other services to enable affordable housing preservation through the transfer of Multifamily Housing Direct Loan properties from current owners to nonprofits or PHAs. The technical assistance grants will facilitate the transfer and preservation of existing RHS MFH properties to NPs and PHAs.

Tribally designated housing entities (TDHE) and Tribal housing NPs. Qualified nonprofits (NP) and public housing authorities (PHA). Beneficiary eligibility is the same as applicant eligibility.
Provide technical assistance for the purpose of facilitating the transfer and preservation of existing Rural Rental Housing properties under Section 515 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended. Deadline determined at as part of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) Preapplication coordination is not applicable. Environmental impact information is not required for this program.
This program is excluded from coverage under E. O. 12372.
2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards applies to this program. RHS will evaluate and score the grant applications. From 1 to 15 days.
Applicants have 15 days to appeal an adverse decision made by the Agency.
