Funding Sources & Applications | Bucks County, PA Housing & Community Development Funding Sources & Past Applications Funding Sources & Applications Annually, Bucks County receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The program focuses on benefiting low- and moderate-income persons, aiding in the prevention or elimination of slums and blight, and/or meeting community urgent needs. Eligible activities include acquisition of real property, demolition and rehabilitation of structures, construction of public facilities, provision of handicap access, historic preservation, community planning, and energy conservation. Please note: Applicants are required to submit a CDBG Core Application, Supplemental Application, Project Budget and Project Timeline. Every agency that intends to apply to CDBG must submit one Core Application and a separate Supplemental Application. If applying for more than one project proposal, additional supplemental applications must be submitted for each project proposal.
Supplemental Applications: Public Service : A program or project seeking funds to pay for labor, supplies, and material to operate.
This includes but is not limited to Employment and job development services, Health services, Senior citizen services, Homeless services, etc. Public Facility/Housing : A project seeking funds for acquisition, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, demolition, removal of architectural barriers to accessibility, or installation of accessible improvements.
Economic Development : A project seeking funds to create or retain permanent jobs. Application release date: Thursday, November 20, 2025 Optional Online CDBG Application Information Session: Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at 2:30PM All applications must be received via e-mail to [email protected] by 4:00 P. on Friday, February 6th, 2026.

The county allocates the funds to local agencies involved in the provision of shelter and services to homeless populations. The main program objectives include improving the quality of existing emergency shelter facilities and quality of services, funding housing location efforts for those experiencing homelessness, and funding rapid rehousing programs to quickly end episodes of homelessness. Eligible activities include renovation, rehabilitation, or conversion of structures, provision of essential services, homeless prevention efforts, and operation of shelter facilities. All applications must be submitted electronically to [email protected] by 4:00 pm, Friday February 6, 2026. Late entries will not be considered.
2026 Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Overviews & Application 2026 Federal ESG Shelter Operations, Outreach Program Overview 2026 Federal ESG Rapid Rehousing, Homeless Prevention Program Overview 2026 Federal ESG Application The HOME program seeks to expand the availability of affordable housing for low-income residents through partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Eligible program activities include acquisition, demolition, rehabilitation, or new construction of affordable units to the target population. In addition, the program also seeks to provide tenant-based rental assistance to eligible households. For Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Projects, applications are accepted on a rolling basis based on the availability of funds.
For housing applications, please complete the Housing Application and Rental Housing Proforma. For projects not related to the development of housing please complete the HTF Affordable Housing Efforts Application. The deadline to submit applications is February 6, 2026.
