Municipal Parks and Recreation Grant Program (MPR) The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is preparing to launch a new grant program to fund the development and improvement of municipal parks and recreation sites. Funds for the MPR Grant Program are provided by the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022.

MPR funding is available for the construction of recreational facilities and other improvements to municipally owned recreational sites and parks. Examples include playgrounds, courts, playing fields, and facilities for swimming, biking, boating, picnicking, hiking, fishing, camping or other recreational activities.

Applications will be available March 19, 2025, through the on-line Consolidated Funding Application with a deadline of May 2, 2025, at 4 p. m. Digital Equity Program Capacity Grant ConnectALL’s Digital Equity Program Capacity Grant will provide two-year grants to a range of entities and partnerships working to bridge the digital divide.

Funds will drive new initiatives and effective collaborations to deliver high-quality digital literacy trainings, access to devices and equipment, digital privacy skills, and inclusive support services to expand internet use among underserved communities and Covered Populations across the state. Deadline for Applications : March 24, 2025, 11:59PM ET.

Applications must be submitted through the New York State Consolidated Funding Application . $80 Million in Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act Funding Now Available to Support Resiliency Initiatives Governor Hochul announced $80 million in new grant funding available to communities across New York State for climate resiliency projects. The grants, funded through the $4.

2 billion Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022, will support nature-based and green infrastructure projects designed to reduce flood risk and enhance community resilience to extreme weather.

The three resiliency related grant programs are: Resilient Watersheds Grant Program : $45 million will be made available through the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), building on the success of the Resilient NY program and advancing the State’s goal of strengthening infrastructure and protecting New Yorkers from the impacts of extreme weather.

Coastal Rehabilitation and Resilience Projects Program : $20 million will be made available through the Department of State (DOS) for coastal communities. The program prioritizes projects using nature-based solutions to enhance community resilience while also delivering environmental, economic and social benefits.

Inland Flooding and Local Waterfront Revitalization Implementation Projects Program : $15 million will be made available through DOS for implementation projects that improve waterfront and watershed resiliency and reduce climate impacts, particularly flooding. Featured Federal Webinars Department of Justice (DOJ) JustGrants Training Webinars The DOJ has made a collection of training resources available for JustGrants users.

Training materials include self-guided eLearning videos, which are supplemented by job aid reference guides, checklists, and infographics. These resources will help users learn to navigate the system effectively and complete various essential grants management tasks. The Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region.
