National Diaper Bank Network Micro-Grants is sponsored by National Diaper Bank Network (administered through GlobalGiving). Provides micro-grants to enhance the long-term growth and sustainability of individual diaper banks. This helps address diaper need by supporting the collection, storage, and distribution of free diapers to families experiencing hardships.

As a member of the National Diaper Bank Network and Alliance for Period Supplies, your organization gains: Resources to Strengthen Your Program Sample templates, forms, and operational tools. Access to exclusive grants. Member only bulk diaper purchasing and donation program access.

Opportunities to use NDBN’s logo and branding materials. Connections to a Nationwide Community Access to national conferences, workshops, data research and webinars. Inclusion in the NDBN and APS Member Directory.

Opportunities to collaborate with like-minded organizations. Support to Build Capacity Professional development resources and expert technical assistance. Advocacy tools to raise awareness locally.

Training on how to grow and sustain your program. Eligibility to apply for NDBN’s Funds for Change Grants Before reaching out, ensure your organization meets the following basic criteria: 501(c)(3) Status: Your organization must be a certified nonprofit or operate under a fiscal sponsor. Program in Place: You should already be distributing diapers and/or period supplies.

Reach: Your program must be serving a minimum of 200 unduplicated individuals. Funding: Your organization has fundraising capabilities and appropriate budget for diapers and/or period supplies. Once you’re ready, follow these steps to join NDBN: Service Area: Check that there’s a need for a diaper program in your community.

Complete the Membership Application: Provide details about your organization and services. Submit Required Documentation: Proof of 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsorship. 3 letters of recommendation from community partners.

Sign the Member Agreement National Diaper Bank Network routinely considers applications from organizations seeking to associate with NDBN as a member. Membership is a means for NDBN to effectively leverage its resources for the greatest outcomes to achieve our charitable mission.

For that reason, NDBN considers a variety of factors when selecting members, such as places with the greatest need, existing services and resources in the area, financial stability and operational capacity of an organization (including product storage and distribution), number and expertise of partner agencies, and the ability to quickly expand operations. For that reason, the application is quite detailed.

While a member has no role in the governance of NDBN, membership does involve a commitment to conduct charitable activities for families consistent with NDBN’s mission and management decisions about product distribution, discretionary funding, data collection and information sharing, and collaboration and communications. Our committee carefully considers each application, and we will respond after a decision has been made.
