1M in grants. More than $250,000 has been granted to the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland region since 2005. The Trustees will meet again in March, 2020 to consider grant applications .
Priority is given to programs providing direct services to help achieve literacy. If your program improves reading and writing skills, consider applying for a grant. The NHLF Grants range from $500 to around $5000, with the average grant around $2000.
