Funding for NMHGP grants is non-appropriated (not from congress) and are transferred from MarAD . We strongly recommend applying for a NMHGP grant when funding is available ! NMHGP Preservation and Educaton Grants require a 1:1 match Does the 1:1 match have to be all in cash, can it be all in-kind, or can it be a percentage of each and if so, what percentage must be cash?
The 1:1 match (to include in-house projects and subgrant program projects) may be a combination of cash and in-kind. There are no percentage requirements. However, the value of in-kind needs to be documented, including volunteer time, and verifiable from the recipient's records (outlined in 2 CFR 200.
