The State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program is a grant from State Farm, administered in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), that funds essential equipment for resource-constrained volunteer fire departments. Each of the 150 selected departments receives a ,000 grant to enhance safety, effectiveness, and operational readiness. The program prioritizes departments that serve populations of 25,000 or fewer, are at least 50% volunteer, are legally organized under state law, and had annual revenue under ,000 in their most recent fiscal year. Funds must be used for eligible fire department equipment. Previous recipients are ineligible. At least one recipient per state will be selected where 10 or more eligible applications are received. The 2026 application period is now closed.

AmeriCorps grants are awarded to eligible organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. An AmeriCorps member is a person who does community service through AmeriCorps. Members may receive a living allowance and other benefits. After successful completion of their service, members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award they can use to pay for higher education expenses or apply to qualified student loans.
