SBIR/STTR is now Reauthorized The SBIR and STTR programs have been reauthorized and the DoW is issuing BAAs on a new monthly schedule. The DoW Services and Components may elect to release topics under these monthly BAAs throughout fiscal year 2026, and the Navy will participate in several of them.
The monthly BAAs will be pre-released on the first Wednesday of each month with each release having corresponding open and close dates applicable to the topics within that release. for announcement of revised solicitations. Please monitor DSIP for the most up to date information regarding SBIR/STTR Program impacts specific to program reauthorization.
Navy SBIR News & Announcements DoW/Navy FY-26 Release 3 SBIR/STTR Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Pre-release 6/3/26 Opens 6/24/26 Closes 7/22/26 ( 12:00pm ET ) The Department of the Navy (DON) SBIR/STTR FY-26 Release 3 topics are now in pre-release. These BAAs include 12 conventional SBIR topics, and 1 Commercial Solutions Openings (CSO) Open Topic.
Awards under the CSO Open Topic will use Other Transaction (OT) agreements to accelerate prototyping and transition. The pre-release period is 3 June through 24 June and allows for direct communication between small businesses and Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs) to answer technical questions about the topics. The solicitations open to proposal submission on 24 June and close 22 July at 12:00 p.
