NCS Research Grant Opportunities About NCS Partner With NCS Research Grants NCS Research Grant Opportunities Evaluation and/or Feasibility of Technology Integration Into Routine Care Processes in Neurocritical Care Settings Grant This grant mechanism is available due to a generous donation to the Neurocritical Care Foundation to support NCC research by a donor who is interested in moving the field of neurocritical care forward with meaningful, actionable technological advances.
The purpose of the grant is to allow research teams to develop technologies that enhance clinical care in the neuroscience intensive care unit or neuroprognostication. Proposals are not restricted to a particular domain of neurocritical care. Technology could be defined as therapeutic or invasive/non-invasive monitoring.
The scope of this RFA is to provide two-year, intense funding to support practical studies that will enable the awardees to show the utility of a new technology/group of technologies or novel use of existing technology/group of technologies.
By the end of the funding period, investigators are expected to show measurable outcomes via implementation science, clinical trial, etc. that can inform and/or improve the care of neurocritical care patients. Multicenter and multidisciplinary submissions are welcomed.

Electroencephalographic Biomarkers of Consciousness After Pediatric Acute Brain Injury Grant This grant mechanism is available due to a generous gift from a donor who is interested in improving the outcome of pediatric patients with brain injuries.
The purpose of the EEG Markers of Consciousness in Pediatrics Grant is to allow research teams to develop pilot research that enhances clinical care of pediatric patients with disorders of consciousness. This year’s EEG Markers of Consciousness in Pediatrics Grant will focus on research on electroencephalography (EEG) characteristics as a biomarker of injury or recovery after pediatric acute brain injury.
The scope of this RFA is to provide two years of funding to support pilot studies that will enable the awardees to successfully compete for federal funding such as from the NIH, Department of Defense, PCORI, Library of Congress, foundation or similar international government entity.
