Office of Community Revitalization Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) Grants Program Office of Community Revitalization Office of Community Revitalization Who We Are and What We Do Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) Grants Program Applications Are Being Accepted for OCR’s FY-2027 Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) Grants Program Palm Beach County’s Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grants program.
NEAT provides grants of up to $10,000 to neighborhood-based groups and/or organizations for resident-driven neighborhood improvement projects proposed within designated Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) areas and the Glades region, including the municipalities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee.
Projects must fall under one of the following categories to be eligible for funding: 1) Neighborhood Beautification 2) Neighborhood Identification 3) Neighborhood Organizing and Sustainability 4) Neighborhood Outreach and Capacity Building 5) Public Safety and Crime Prevention 7) Neighborhood Green Projects 8) Emergency Preparedness 9) Other (eligible minor neighborhood improvements such as infrastructure, resilience, little free libraries/pantries etc.).

On June 1, Maryland's Department of Housing and Community Development announced $73.3 million in FY2027 awards across six State Revitalization Programs supporting 247 projects in disinvested communities. $50.7 million — 69% of the total — went to Just Communities, geographic areas the state has designated for equity-focused investment. Another $18.6 million went to ENOUGH-eligible census tracts where childhood poverty is concentrated. The new round opens June 22 with an August 6 deadline. The Maryland model establishes a state-led framework for equity-targeted funding that operates outside the federal DEI restrictions the OMB Uniform Guidance rewrite will impose on federal grants beginning October 1, 2026.
