New Jersey Innovation Fellows Program is sponsored by New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). This program provides income-replacement grants and mentorship to teams of entrepreneurs with unique startup ideas in New Jersey's targeted industries. The grant supports early-stage startups during their two-year ideation and formation period.
A base award of $200,000 is available, with additional bonuses up to $200,000 for factors such as residing in an Opportunity Zone, being a graduate of a NJ college or university, or self-certifying as a diverse entrepreneur.

The venture must operate within New Jersey's 'Targeted Industries'. At least half of the entrepreneur leadership must certify as 'first-time entrepreneurs'. Each applicant must be transitioning from a paid position (full- or part-time) or be recent graduates who have worked in a paid position within 60 days of applying and commit to full-time entrepreneurship.
