We foster a vibrant agricultural sector in New York by supporting applied research, education, information transfer, technology adoption and market analysis to reduce practical barriers to the success of farming enterprises. Led by Farmers, Focused on Farm Viability NYS Beginning Farmer Competitive Grant Program Supports new and early-stage farmers investing in equipment, infrastructure, and farm viability.
NYS G&C Research & Development Grant Program Funds research projects that support innovation within the NYS Grown & Certified program. NYS G&C Infrastructure & Technology Grant Program Supports infrastructure and technology investments for farms participating in NYS Grown & Certified. USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program Supports projects that strengthen the competitiveness of New York’s specialty crop industries.
NYS Farm viability Institute Research Grant Program Funds applied research that addresses real challenges identified by New York farmers.
