Apply: NH Volunteer Engagement Program - Volunteer NH Apply: NH Volunteer Engagement Program Grants NH Volunteer Engagement Program Volunteer NH, through the assistance of American Rescue Plan funds provided through the State of New Hampshire, are able to offer grants to eligible organizations looking to increase their capacity to recruit, utilize, manage, and retain volunteers.
These smaller grants are for a specific, one-time need and can be used for categories like volunteer training, purchasing of volunteer management technology, and volunteer program development. Volunteer NH intends to offer multiple rounds of these grants per year. Some rounds may have additional eligiblity requirements for the type of organization that can apply or the focus of the project.

Volunteer NH does not anticipate offering additional opportunities for this grant*** These are larger grants awarded to organizations to spend up-to two years working on a project that will increase the capacity of their volunteer program.
Projects can include developing a pilot volunteer program, creating a series of online or other types of trainings for volunteers, and creating and carrying out a comprehensive outreach and recruitment plan for volunteers. This grant will run from October 2024 – September 2026. Award Range: $15,000 – $25,000 ( staff time is allowed on this grant ).
Unfortunately, due to limited funding, Volunteer NH is only able to run one competition for the period October 2024 – September 2026. There may be other Project Grant opportunities in 2026, but it is not guaranteed. Click below to read about the Project Grant Awardees.

Become an AmeriCorps Program Host Site If your organization goals and activities align with an already-operating AmeriCorps program, you might be able to host one (or more) AmeriCorps members. Application processes vary, so make sure to reach out to the specific program’s contact. Click here to view current AmeriCorps programs.
Become a Project Site for an AmeriCorps Day of Service. There are three days of service (in January, March, and September) where AmeriCorps members are asked to serve a half-to-a-full day in in their communities. Does your organization need painting, organizing, filing, or cleaning done?

Apply for an AmeriCorps NCCC Project Does your organization have a short-term project (6-8 weeks) that a group 8-12 AmeriCorps members could work full-time on? Then consider submitting a concept paper for an NCCC project! Typical activities can include disaster-recovery, energry conservation, environmental stewardship, infrastructure improvement, and/or urban and rural development, and much more!
