National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders ( NIDCD ) The purpose of this Notice is to update information in PAR-24-127 NIDCD's Mentored Research Education Pathway for Otolaryngology Residents and Medical Students (R25 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed) regarding the data table instructions in Section IV. 2.
This Notice applies to applications submitted to the January 29, 2025 receipt date and beyond. The NOFO currently reads: Section IV. Application and Submission Information 2.
Content and Form of Application Submission SF424(R&R) Other Project Information Component Tables must be included to show: (a) participating faculty including research preceptors (including their sources of support and records in research education activities as described for this program), (b) the potential participant pool, and, for applicants with a previous history of funding for research education, (c) information about past participants in other awards and their subsequent activities.
For this purpose, the following Data Tables must be used: Data Tables 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 8A, and 8C . For Table 5A, the "Degree" information in the "Training Period" column should be omitted since this R25 NOFO supports short-term, non-degree training experiences. These tables are not subject to a page limit.
They should be compiled as a single pdf file. The filename "Data_Tables. pdf" should be used and the file attached.
Please note that the race, ethnicity, or sex of program faculty, program participants, or past program faculty or participants will not be considered in the application review process or when making funding decisions. The NOFO is modified to read (changes noted in bold italics ) Section IV. Application and Submission Information 2.
