NIPSCO Public Safety Grant is sponsored by NIPSCO. This grant provides funding for community and youth public safety education programming and training for first responders within NIPSCO's northern Indiana service area.

Grant applications due July 31, 2026 Grant recipients will be announced the week of August 17, 2026 Nonprofit 501c3 organizations Municipalities, fire departments and other non-government organizations About NIPSCO’s Public Safety Education and Training Action Grant Introduced in 2018, NIPSCO’s Public Safety Education and Training Action Grant aims to provide funding for community and youth public safety education programming and training for first responders.

Grants available for $500 to $5,000 for organizations seeking funds for public safety education and first responder training programs and have a direct impact on NIPSCO service area. Preferred programs would promote public safety education and training. Areas could include, but not limited to, areas of damage prevention, police and fire departments, carbon monoxide safety, and youth related safety education.

Grant funding is not intended for purchase of equipment other than needed to support public safety education programs and training. Safety education programs where employee volunteerism is available is a plus.
