Address Yourself ™ | New Jersey Community Capital An Affordable Homeownership Program Creating Affordable Pathways to Homeownership Homeownership provides a pathway to intergenerational wealth while building equity and economic security for individuals and families in underserved communities.
Using financial education, pre-purchase homeownership counseling and down payment assistance for eligible homebuyers, the Address Yourself ™ homeownership program works to help low-to-moderate-income individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals. Address Yourself ™ provides a comprehensive homeownership platform for low-to-moderate income families and individuals.
Through partner organizations, pre-purchase housing counseling and follow-up counseling is provided to all clients interested in purchasing a home. When a client is ready to purchase, referrals are made to professionals that specialize in working with low-to-moderate income buyers. As buyers identify the home they wish to purchase, they may apply for down payment assistance.
Since inception, Address Yourself ™ has provided housing counseling for 1,570 households and has deployed more than $8,300,000 in down payment assistance to more than 500 households. If you are already under contract to purchase a property and are preapproved for a mortgage with one of our approved mortgage lenders, you will be guided through the down payment assistance application process following completion of the Address Yourself ™ Enrollment form. Use one of the Enrollment links above if you are not already enrolled. Be pre-approved for a mortgage by one of our approved mortgage lenders.

Address Yourself Programs The AtlantiCare Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Program provides grants up to $10,000 to AtlantiCare employees seeking to become first-time homeowners in Atlantic City. Eligible participants must be below 120% of the area median income and in good standing with AtlantiCare.
East Trenton Collaborative DPA Program The East Trenton Collaborative DPA Program makes grants available to income eligible buyers purchasing a house in the East Trenton neighborhood of Trenton. Up to $10,000 is available for households purchasing a home in East Trenton. The Esperanza DPA program is sponsored by New Brunswick Tomorrow, the lead organization in the Esperanza Neighborhood Project.
The program provides up to $30,000 in down payment assistance for income eligible, first time homebuyers purchasing in the Esperanza Neighborhood of New Brunswick. NJCC Statewide DPA Program In partnership with a variety of lenders and funders, the NJCC Statewide DPA Program is available to income-eligible buyers purchasing a home throughout New Jersey.
Buyers may be eligible for up to $30,000, depending on need and must earn less than 100% of the area median income. Address Yourself™ and the Trenton Neighborhood Initiative are partnering to bring affordable homeownership to Trenton. Available support for homebuyers includes up to $20,000 in down payment assistance for all income-qualified individuals buying a home in Trenton.
The Address Yourself™ program is constantly growing and offering additional down payment assistance grants in locations around New Jersey.
