No Room for Trafficking (NRFT) Survivor Fund is sponsored by AHLA Foundation. The AHLA Foundation's No Room for Trafficking Survivor Fund provides grants to community-based organizations that offer services and resources to human trafficking survivors, helping them on their path to recovery.

In 2024, $1 million was awarded to eight organizations for services like workforce development, advocacy, counseling, case management, and economic empowerment.

No Room For Trafficking Initiative Specialized Anti-Trafficking Trainings Completed By Industry Employees Since 2020 Contributed to industry’s first-ever Survivor Fund Through NRFT events, partnerships, and resources, we strive to ELEVATE the issue of human trafficking and industry efforts to prevent and combat it, EDUCATE industry employers and employees to identify and report suspected trafficking in hotels and communities nationwide, and EMPOWER survivors with the support they need to thrive.

“In 2021, 10,359 situations of human trafficking were reported to the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline involving 16,554 individual victims. Shocking as these numbers are, they are likely only a fraction of the actual problem,” said Polaris Project.

The No Room for Trafficking (NRFT) program builds on the hotel and lodging industry’s longstanding commitment to eradicate human trafficking by uniting us around collective anti-trafficking efforts that meet the needs of today’s hospitality employers and employees.

ELEVATE: Amplifying Industry Efforts The AHLA Foundation offers a variety of industry-relevant resources – including a Member Resource Guide – to help identify the signs of human trafficking alongside tools for reporting, prevention and community awareness from partner organizations and agencies.

Throughout the year, we provide materials, resources and speakers for community-based events in addition to hosting major events aligned with National Human Trafficking Awareness Month (January) and World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (July 30th).

We travel nationwide to illuminate critical issues related to human trafficking, to share our industry’s anti-trafficking efforts as well as the latest training programs, partnerships and educational resources available to support our members and their employees.

EDUCATE: Provide Free, Accessible Training to Employers and Employees To support the safety of guests and employees, the hotel and lodging industry continuously updates and expands its training programs aimed at increasing the identification and reporting of suspected human trafficking.

The AHLA Foundation supports the free distribution of these industry-standard courses through PACT, with special thanks to Marriott International and G6 Hospitality, for the development of these programs and donation for free, industry-wide use.

EMPOWER: Survivor Support As training and awareness efforts increase reports of human trafficking, the AHLA Foundation strives to prevent the potential re-victimization of identified survivors by supporting their immediate and longer-term stability. We are evolving our workforce development and academic programs to include opportunities that match the unique needs of survivors as they develop career pathways for long-term stability.

And together with industry leaders we have launched the industry’s first-ever Survivor Fund to provide grants to organizations that directly empower and sustain survivors and their families on their path forward. Your Role in Preventing Human Trafficking This free 30-minute virtual or in-person training program discusses the intersections between human trafficking and the hotel industry. This training has been completed by more than 2.

2 Million industry employees since 2020, available in 34 languages & for integration with corporate LMS platforms. This free virtual course builds on the foundation of the 30-minute training before and provides increased guidance on responding to potential trafficking situations. You’ll fine increased interactivity with scenario-based learning and mobile-friendly design with unique learning paths for associates & managers.

This training is available in Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), English, French, and Spanish. This virtual training addresses the pervasiveness and potential signs of human trafficking, featuring insights from a survivor, hospitality safety and security professionals, and experts from nonprofit organizations focused on survivor support. The training is currently only available in English and Spanish.

Preventing Human Trafficking *New* A free, 30-minute training for hotel owners and operators, developed by PACT with input from survivors, and in collaboration with global hotel partners Hilton, Hyatt and IHG Hotels & Resorts. The training helps participants understand human trafficking, recognize warning signs and respond appropriately using internal reporting procedures. Currently available in English and with Spanish subtitles.

Your Role in Preventing Human Trafficking Preventing Human Trafficking *New* The No Room for Trafficking (NRFT) Survivor Fund , administered by the AHLA Foundation, will provide financial support to community-based organizations that serve human trafficking survivors.

Awards from this initiative are intended to uplift those with lived experience through programs focused on economic stability and self-sufficiency that can help break the cycle of revictimization. The AHLA Foundation offers this funding to organizations of diverse sizes, impact levels, and stages of development.

Survivor-founded organizations are specifically encouraged to apply and special consideration will be given to organizations that operate in rural communities, serve men/boys, include programming specific to labor trafficking, and/or build on existing collaborations with other anti-trafficking organizations to scale beyond their primary service area.

Be a US-based, 501(c)(3) public charity Have received their letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service at least two years ago Be currently receiving local, state, and/or federal funding Have direct service experience and expertise, demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and diversity within the organization as well as through their work and outreach in their community Grants must support specific and existing programs or projects Organizations cannot request grant support for the following: Lobbying or Political Campaigns New Construction/real estate investment Endowments (with the exception of scholarship endowments) Up to $800,000 will be awarded with notifications made no later than June 30 th , 2026.

The grant award period will be from July 1 st , 2026-June 30 th , 2027.
