The CDBG-Disaster Recovery (DR) and CDBG-Mitigation (MIT) are one-time appropriations made after natural disasters to assist communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, primarily for low and moderate-income persons. Projects Currently Receiving Disaster Recovery Funds Bartlett Lake Stormwater Drainage Improvements (CDBG-MIT) The City of St.
Petersburg has been awarded $2,034,517. 00 in CDBG-MIT (Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation) funding for improvements to Bartlett Lake to increase storage volume, improve water quality, improve stormwater flow, and increase resiliency to sea level rise and climate change for the Bartlett Park neighborhood.
This project will consist of dredging and removing nearly 23,000 cubic yards of sediment from the lake bottom of Bartlett Lake, which will be done through mechanical dredging methods while preserving the native vegetation and habitats. The area of benefit consists of 0. 23% low- to moderate-income residents and will satisfy the LMI National Objective.
Project Details: The scope of this project includes Bartlett Lake, located along 4th Street and 22nd Avenue South. Approximately 22,806 cubic yards of material will be removed from the lake across an area of 2. 62 acres.
The method of dredging and disposal of the material will be determined by the contractor. Dredging activities will not impact any mangroves as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit requires a 5-foot buffer. Project Status : Developing Bid Process Grant Award : $2,034,517.

Pete is the City of St. Petersburg's initiative for allocating Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City of St.

Pete The goal of the State is to provide an opportunity to resolve complaints in a timely manner, usually within fifteen (15) business days as expected by HUD, if practicable, and to provide the right to participate in the process and appeal a decision when there is reason for an applicant to believe its application was not handled according to program policies.
