Nonprofit Grants, Local Community Support, and College Scholarships — Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop Clothes Less Traveled Nonprofit Thrift Shops sell donated goods to support more than 70 local charities , award scholarships to volunteers, and provide free clothing to our neighbors in need. CLT has reinvested over $9 million dollars in 100+ charities since our founding in 1997! In 2025, we awarded 56 annual grants .
Our volunteers, staff, and board members also give away service grants to eligible nonprofits. Please see the Grant Eligibility Application below to learn about our grant requirements. Eligibility is approved throughout the year, but the application period for 2026 Annual Grants runs from November 1 to January 15.
Individuals and families with needs apply for vouchers through our grantee partner organizations . Once approved, voucher clients can shop at our Peachtree City location for daily life necessities including clothing, household goods, and furniture with their voucher just as they would with cash. Clothes Less Traveled team members are also always on hand to provide assistance.

Seniors in high school who volunteer 40+ hours and college students volunteering at least 20 hours here at the thrift shop are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Since 1997, CLT has given $280,000 to support college-bound students.
In addition to being eligible for our general scholarships, the students with the most volunteer hours will receive the Dick and Jan Allis Service Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded annually in the spring. You can start volunteering towards a scholarship as soon as you begin high school.
