Since 1944, the Dover Foundation has been driven by the vision of our ancestors – John R.

Dover, Sr. and his sons Charles I. and Jack. Their commitment to charitable giving in support of Cleveland County’s well-being and progress remains at our foundation.

## Grants for Nonprofits serving Cleveland County Grants are awarded four times a year to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations in Cleveland County that focus on any of the three areas in the Dover Foundation’s mission – faith-based initiatives, education, and human services. ## Merit-based Scholarships for local high school students The Dover Foundation awarded $165,000 in scholarships in 2025.

Scholarships are awarded annually to graduating seniors from the Cleveland County Schools system. An independent scholarship committee reviews applications and selects the recipients. ## Resources & Support for charitable organizations The Dover Foundation supports nonprofits in the community through collaboration and professional development opportunities.
