Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) | Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) The NSGP is a competitive grant program intended to provide federal funding for physical and cybersecurity enhancements and other security-related activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist or other extremist attack.
FY2025 NSGP Application Period: (**Subaward funding contingent upon Federal Award funding from FEMA) April 1, 2025, to May 15, 2025 Applications should be submitted through our online portal which can be accessed at: https://grants. alabama. gov and are due by 11:59pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025 .
Application training will be conducted at the ALEA HQ office in Montgomery, AL on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 1-3pm. Please click the link below to register. Who is eligible to apply for this funding?
Eligible nonprofit organizations are only those organizations that are described under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (IRC) and exempt from tax under section 501(a) of such code. * Ability to demonstrate, through the application, that the organization is at HIGH RISK of a terrorist attack or other extremist attacks.
*Note: Organizations such as churches, mosques, and synagogues are considered automatically exempt if they meet the requirements of section 501(c)(3) and do not have to apply for and receive recognition of exemption from the IRS.
