The purpose of this notice is to announce the opening and closing dates for receipt of applications for the NCDFI Relending Demonstration Program from eligible applicants, as well as submission requirements. These loans will be made to qualified NCDFIs to relend funds to low- and very low- income ultimate recipients to acquire, build, rehabilitate, improve, or relocate dwellings on Tribal Land in rural areas.
This program has the amount of $4,630,000 available for FY 25. Applicants are responsible for any expenses incurred in developing their applications. Action: Notice Funding Opportunity (NOFO).

Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Section 533 Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) for Fiscal Year 2025 is sponsored by Agriculture Department; Rural Housing Service. The Rural Housing Service (RHS or the Agency), a Rural Development (RD) mission area agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), announces the availability of $13.1 million in funding for the Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) program for fiscal year (FY) 2025, which includes approximately $2.1 million that will be made available for disaster assistance and $500,000 each for recovery due to Hurricanes Fiona in Puerto Rico, and Helene in Tennessee. The funds are available for qualified entities (such as public agencies, private non-profit organizations, and federally recognized Tribes) to provide grants or low-interest loans to eligible recipients to repair or rehabilitate housing in rural areas. Rental and cooperative properties that house very-low and low-income tenants may also be provided with grants or low-interest loans to repair and rehabilitate their properties in rural areas. In accordance with 7 CFR 1944.662(c), when an "identity of interest" (as such term is defined by 7 CFR 1924.4(i)) exists between a nonprofit entity and the owner(s) of a dwelling, the property is not eligible for HPG assistance. Therefore, the HPG grantee may meet the factors provided at 7 CFR 1924.4(i), which includes a requirement that the HPG grantee not be the owner of the home, rental property or cooperative in which repairs will be performed. This notice announces the opening and closing dates for receipt of preapplications for HPG funds, including the availability of calendar year 2022 disaster assistance, from eligible applicants, as well as submission requirements. Expenses incurred in developing preapplications will be at the applicant's cost. Applicants will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred outside of the grant agreement period. Action: Notice. The Department of Defense FY2026 Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) provides funding for U.S. universities to acquire research equipment and instrumentation in areas important to national defense, including AI and machine learning hardware. The program is administered jointly by the Army Research Office (ARO), Office of Naval Research (ONR), and Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), with approximately $34 million available and 95 awards anticipated. DURIP funds the acquisition of specialized computing hardware for AI/ML research (GPU clusters, TPUs, neuromorphic processors), robotics and autonomous systems testbeds, sensor arrays and data collection systems for machine learning training, high-performance computing infrastructure for defense-relevant AI research, and laboratory equipment for human-AI interaction studies. The program specifically supports equipment that enhances research-related education in DoD-priority disciplines. While general-purpose computing is not eligible, computing equipment directly supporting DoD-relevant AI research programs qualifies. No cost sharing is required.
Vinnova, Sweden's national innovation agency, funds projects developing applied AI solutions for Swedish industry through its Advanced Digitalization Programme. Each project can apply for between 2 and 10 million SEK (approximately $190,000 to $950,000 USD) covering up to 50% of eligible project costs. The total call budget is 60 million SEK. Projects run for 12-24 months and focus on two key areas: Intelligent Edge (AI for real-time application in the sensor chain) and AI-based decision support. All projects must address industrial needs and integrate gender equality and climate change perspectives. Scientific publications must be open access. A parallel call also funds AI and cybersecurity projects at 1-10 million SEK per project with a 50 million SEK total budget.
