The National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications that develop or incorporate novel, cutting-edge study designs, methods, and analytic approaches through the use of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and adaptive designs.
The goal is to discover health and function profiles at the individual level that could lead to personalized prevention plans and interventions for cognitive and brain health in older adults. This includes basic research in animal models and the development of human profiles spanning cellular to societal levels.
