NSW Sexual Violence Project Fund is sponsored by NSW Government. Provides grants to support one-off and time-limited early intervention and response projects addressing sexual violence, focusing on high priority groups.

NSW Sexual Violence Project Fund | Communities and Justice NSW Sexual Violence Project Fund Successful recipients have been announced. This fund provides $10. 5 million in grants to support one-off and time-limited early intervention and response projects that address sexual violence.

It focuses on high priority groups, including: Women and children at risk of or experiencing sexual violence Culturally and linguistically diverse communities (in particular, people of refugee, refugee-like experiences, and asylum seeker backgrounds) Rural and remote communities Children and young people (in particular, those who have experienced trauma, sexual and domestic violence or who are in or leaving out-of-home care) Two funding pathways were available under the Sexual Violence Project Fund.

Stream One was designed for projects between $100,000 and $1,000,000 focused on early intervention and/or response run by a single eligible entity. Stream Two was designed for projects between $500,000 and $1,500,000 focused on early intervention and/or response delivered by a group of organisations or partnership. Successful grant recipients 14 organisations were successful, sharing in over $10 million in grants.

Organisation and Project Name LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in sexual violence response service provision: ACON consult support ACON’s Sexual Violence Consult Service aims to foster safer, more inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ people who have experienced sexual violence. NSW Service Providers can access for free: Organisational and policy reviews The project will also develop LGBTQ+ Inclusive and Affirming Practice Guidelines.

NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors Hayat Amina (Safe Life) in Australia A suite of co-designed and evidence based early intervention group programs and multimedia resources for Arabic speaking refugee and refugee like communities across the lifespan of late adolescence and adulthood.

These interventions and related resources will equip people from Arabic speaking refugee and refugee like backgrounds to: navigate new conceptual and legislative frameworks for understanding and identifying sexual violence in NSW. anticipate & reduce the risk of sexual violence occurring against their families, support networks and communities.

Older Women's Network NSW Improving System Capacity To Provide Trauma Informed Services To Older Women Who've Been Sexually Assaulted Co-designed training package for sexual assault services to recognise and respond to the specific needs of older women. Rosie’s Place Incorporate d Communities of Connection: Prevention responses to child sexual exploitation A capacity building project for workers to identify the early signs of child sexual exploitation and develop strategies and resources to prevent escalation and further sexual harm. Settlement Services International SafePath: Building a skilled workforce to identify and respond to SV in culturally diverse communities A training program and resource development to upskill staff to respond safely to disclosures of sexual violence from culturally diverse clients. Love Rights: Targeting gaps in practical sexual violence prevention for people with disability Awareness education, peer-informed and accessible resources for people with disability and an evidence-based training program for disability support workers. Consent Labs Ltd in partnership with University of Sydney Youth-Led Sexual Violence Prevention in NSW Schools: Co-Designing Sexuality and Gender Diversity Workshops and Resources Co-create with leading researchers, pilot and evaluate innovative educational programs that can be implemented at scale to combat reductive norms that diminish all young people. National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) in partnership with Institute of Child Protection Studies Trauma-informed respectful relationship education A Trauma Responsive Love Bites Facilitator Training Program informed by research from ACU and the voices of young people, including survivors of sexual violence.

Aims to build the capability of targeted NSW rural/ regional/ metro workforces engaging with CYP who have experienced sexual violence, to reduce their vulnerability to further abuse. Community stakeholders participating in the project will benefit from: Facilitator training in the Trauma Responsive Love Bites program. Access to six on demand, Tuned In Child Safe Facilitation Modules developed in partnership with ICPS.

Women’s Health NSW Incorporated in partnership with 15 women’s health centres Local Pathways for Victim-Survivors of Sexual Assault related Non-Fatal Strangulation (NFS) and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Build workforce capacity in the women’s health sector to recognise and respond to non-fatal strangulation, sexual choking, and acquired brain injury.

This will be achieved through training, developing supporting resources, and building referral pathways across NSW that include NGOs, justice and primary health sectors, simultaneously developing the ability of these sectors to better respond to these issues as well. Women Up North Inc in partnership with Family Support Network Inc Enhancing Workforce Responses to Sexual Violence Project will provide education packages to Northern NSW workers to effectively provide early intervention to people at risk of sexual violence and improve community networks and information on sexual violence.

The project will also develop a First Nations-specific version of the training, as well as developing the material into self-paced online training.

Youth Off The Streets Limited in partnership with Youth Action NSW Taking Action, Creating Change - Together (TACCT) TACCT will provide evidence-based training to the NSW youth sector and youth specialist homelessness services to build their capacity to respond to children and young people (12-25 years) experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.
